The St. Francis Way

The St. Francis Way is an historical and spiritual walking trail of 46km from Assisi to Gubbio that St. Francis walked for the first time in 1206 AD to reach his beloved sanctuary in La Verna, Tuscany. Every years, thousands of pilgrims visit Umbria to follow the St. Francis path and live his spiritual experience: The St. Francis Way is an immersion into unspoiled nature; a journey back in time; an intimate period of prayer and contemplative silence; a trekking across ancient abbeys, monasteries and much more.
